During the Olympic Winter Games 2026, mental wellbeing in elite sport is receiving increased attention. Swiss media outlet ERF Medien has published two recent features on sports chaplaincy and mental support in high-performance sport, including mentions of Jörg Walcher, founder of Beyond Gold.
In one of the podcasts, Jörg Walcher is personally interviewed and shares insights on mental strength, performance pressure and the importance of performance-free spaces for athletes and coaches during major sporting events.
In addition, Jörg Walcher was interviewed by Radio Zürisee (phone interview), speaking about his work as a sports chaplain during the Olympic Games.
